Strata Floor Compliance Testing and Certification

The tapping machine Nor277 is the third generation of tapping machines from Norsonic for performing standardised impact noise tests (foot fall noise).

Michael Phillips Acoustics is suitably qualified to conduct on-site hard floor impact isolation testing, commonly known as a tapping test.

This process involves sample testing of your chosen flooring with carefully selected underlays and construction materials, relevant to your unique building in order to determine how best to achieve compliance with NCC, AAAC and Strata By-Laws.

The Michael Phillips Acoustics team understands that not only is every building different, but identical units in the same building can also provide differing results with the exact same flooring construction. This can be for many reasons, including inconsistencies in the slab, building services adjacent to your unit and different flooring finishes.

Michael Phillips Acoustics always strives to help you achieve compliance certification with the minimal construction materials necessary and we'll always advise you on what we feel are the best material selections to help you achieve this.
