Hospitality Venues

The team at Michael Phillips Acoustics are suitably qualified to conduct hospitality acoustic assessments (noise emission assessments & complaints) required by Council and other regulatory authorities.

We are highly experienced in the optimization of the internal room acoustics impacting patrons, workers and live/amplified musicians.

Licensed Venues

In addition to compliance with Council and other regulatory authorities - licensed venues require further noise emission assessment as per ‘NSW Office of Liquor and Gaming Noise Levels’. These guidelines provide criterion for assessing noise emissions from people talking, functions and music

Noise Emission Assessments & Complaints

This type of assessment requires a site inspection, long term noise monitoring (7-days), attended measurements, desktop modelling and acoustic calculations.

The process involves analysis of the proposed or existing subject noise emissions and the potential environmental impact it will have on the nearest noise sensitive receivers.

On conclusion of our assessment, we will provide you with a comprehensive report suitable for submission to Council or relevant authorities.

Room Acoustics

This type of assessment refers to the optimization of occupant ‘acoustic comfort’.

We achieve good acoustic comfort through acoustic analysis relative to the function of the space. We are then able to design purpose built functional spaces.

Every room is different, and the acoustic treatments required are dependent on the room geometry, architectural finishes and function of space.

Michael Phillips Acoustics have worked closely with Australia’s Leading acoustic panel and construction material manufacturers during their design and certification stages and is uniquely positioned to provide you with flexible specification and designs that will take into consideration your unique acoustic privacy concerns and design aesthetics.
